What is an international comics historian?

A comics historian that specializes in the history of sequential art from all countries, regions, sovereign nations, etc and does not focus in one specific area. i.e Western comics, Marvel comics historian, manga historian, etc. 

It is often confused with comic historians that specialize in Marvel and DC Comics printed and translated into languages outside of American-English.

What can The Comics Voyager do for me? 

It is a window into comics, manga, manhwa, manhua, komiks, bandę dessinée etc from places all around the world, many often reflect their unique culture and storytelling. May you discover new characters, and stories that you find interesting to add onto your must read list.

The resources, and events tabs will be jumping points for you to explore new places, museums, libraries, seminars, and societies. You will be able to take a look into conventions that you have never been to, join or support a comics society that you didn’t know about, and take comic classes to further your studies.

May some points of interest help you add some fun and education into your next travel itinerary.

I don’t see much on The Big Two!

There are plenty of sites out there that focus largely on DC Comics and Marvel Comics. The Comics Voyager may occasionally cover The Big Two on certain topics, but TCV is to introduce other stories and characters that you may not have heard of, or are popular in their home country, but not to Western audiences.

Some pages are blank still! 

This is currently a one woman show, so everything is a work in progress. I appreciate you checking back often as new information is always being posted. There’s so much to explore and talk about in the world of sequential art and comics!

I would love to check out your comic! But please know, I am under no obligation to review it or talk about it on my site. Please email me under the Contacts tab if you would still like me to read it when I can.

You were an Eisner judge, can you tell me if my comic is going to win/can it be nominated?

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if your comic will be guaranteed to win, nor if it will be nominated. Each year is a different panel of judges, and my best advice is to read the past nominated and winning graphic novels, and learn from what made them Eisner worthy.

How often will you update on this site?

I am aiming for 5 days a week. Thank you for understanding that The Comics Voyager is run by one person and sometimes things pop up in our lives that need our attention.

Are you hiring?

Not currently but one day I hope! That would be incredible. If there are any open positions, I will post about it.
 

Where is Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen?

Like the Big Two, there is plenty of coverage for popular manga titles. I'd like to emphasize some lesser known series, and even doujinshis.
